Elina Svitolina from Ukraine will meet American Vinas Williams in the most interesting first round match of the women`s French Open at the French Open, according to the draw drawn in Paris. Romania`s Simona Halep will start defending her title with a match against the Australian Ajla Tomljanovic. With the win, Halep will face the winner of the match between Chloe Paquet (France) and Magda Linette (Poland) in the second round. The leader in the world rankings Naomi Osaka drew a rather unpleasant lot. In the first round, the Japanese will play with Ana-Karolina Schmiedlova from Slovakia, and in the win will meet the winner of the match between Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia) and Victoria Azarenka (Belarus). In the semifinals, a match between Halep and Osaka is quite possible. The women`s record holder Serena Williams is also in the upper half of the scheme.
