Ronaldo`s lawyer:Documents against him are fabricated
Cristiano Ronaldo`s lawyer, Peter Christiansen, issued a statement denouncing the charges against the footballer in raping the American Catherine Major in Las Vegas in 2009. The statement mentions that the documents alleged to include Ronaldo`s confessions of the act are a complete fiction. According to the footballer`s representative in 2015, many businesses in Europe, including legally, were attacked by a hacker who stole their electronic data. He tried to sell this information, and a media (Der Spiegel) published some of the stolen papers, large parts of which were changed and / or completely fabricated. It is specified that Ronaldo remains behind his position that what happened in Las Vegas in 2009 is the result from sport links of mutual agreement. Cristiano Ronaldo does not deny agreeing to an agreement, but the reasons that have led to it are at least distorted. The agreement is by no means guilty. What happened was simply that Cristiano Ronaldo followed the advice of his advisers to put an end to the unacceptable accusations in his address and to avoid attempts like the one we are witnessing to destroy a reputation built on a lot of work, sporting qualities and proper attitude, says the statement.
