Keys is the first semi-finalist of Roland Garros
The 13-year-old Madison Keys is the first semi-finalist of this year`s Roland Garros. 23-year-old American beat 7:6 (5), 6:4 Kazakhstan`s representative Yulia Putintseva on the 1/4-finals. The US Open Keys finalist had only one 1/8-finals in his career in Paris this year, but now he`s in the top four. For a place in the final, the American will argue with compatriot Sloane Stevens (from which she lost in the New York final) or against the emerging Russian star Daria Kasatkin. There were no breakthroughs in the first 6 games, but Putintseva took the lead in the seventh place, then led 5:3 and looked closer to winning the first. Keys, however, turned the score to 6:5 and even had two consecutive sets in the 12th game predicted by football picks at Putintseva`s serve, but the Kazakh representative replied to them and got to tiebreak. In it, Putintseva took the first two points, but Keys made a turn and led 4:2. Then the result moved 5:3 and 6:4 in favor of Keys, who made his fourth setball and 7:5 fought for the first part. In the second part there was only one breakthrough and it was realized by Keys in the seventh game. This breakthrough proved to be enough for the American and after 1 hour 24 minutes she overcame her rival.
