Sport tip Steve Kerr: An important part of my job is not to push Steph Curry to the limit
Steve Kerr said he has no intention of increasing Stephen Curry`s playing time. I was criticized a lot during the 2020/21 season because I stuck to my principles and played Steph for 34 minutes a game, giving him about eight minutes off in each half. I used a phrase that became infamous when I said: We don`t chase victories. Everyone was surprised: Then what the hell are you doing? and the answer was: We are taking care of Steph. We`re saving him for his career. I probably shouldn`t have said this out loud, but I`m willing to admit that an important part of my job is to not push Steph to the limit. I`m not going to increase his playing time for more wins in the regular season. We want to be able to give him a chance in the playoffs. We did it when we won the title in 2022. And we want to give him that chance again, " Golden State head coach said.
