The draw for the first stage of qualifying for the 2025 Davis Cup has taken place. The matches will take place in February in a home/away format (home team listed first in pair). The following teams will play among themselves:
Norway - Argentina;
Sweden - Australia;
Belgium - Chile;
Canada - Hungary;
Austria - Finland;
Israel - Germany;
Japan - Great Britain;
Taiwan - USA;
Czech Republic - South Korea;
Denmark - Serbia;
Switzerland -Spain;
Croatia - Slovakia;
France - Brazil.
The winners of the meetings will advance to the second, September, stage of qualification.
The 2024 finalists, the Netherlands, automatically qualified for the second stage, and the 2024 champions, the Italians, went to the playoffs because they will be the hosts (the matches by sport livescores will be held in Bologna).
