Connor McDavid praised Vasily Podkolzin`s performance in Edmonton. He does so many good things. He wins duels, keeps the puck in play for his three, makes great little passes. Like the pass [in the Calgary game] to Leon [Draisaitl], or when he dug the puck up on the boards in Nashville in the first few minutes. These are things that might go unnoticed, but when you play with a guy like [Leon], it`s a lot of fun. He plays hard and gives it his all. He`s just great.
He`s a first-round [draft] pick for a reason. Confidence is half the success, if not more. In this league, everyone can skate, pass and work, but if you don`t have confidence, it won`t be easy.
He`s still looking, but right now he should be happy with himself, " said Edmonton forward Connor McDavid.
