A large migrant camp was dismantled in Paris before the 2024 Olympics. According to R-Sport, in the morning police and rows of buses arrived at the Porte de la Villette metro station - there is a tent city where migrants live under the bridges on the Saint-Denis canal, in the area of the ring road.
Today the phase of so-called social cleansing ends. The last migrant camp in Paris was evacuated, with people sent on buses either to the regions or to temporary structures in Ile-de-France, said one of the employees involved in the dismantling of the camp.
The removal of the camp took place peacefully. Migrants, mostly from African countries, gathered their belongings and boarded buses.
