The Canadian Hockey Federation has completed its investigation into a sex scandal involving youth team players. Let us remember that in May, a 24-year-old woman went to court in Ontario, accusing several hockey players, including a number of 2018 World Cup winners on the Canadian team, of sexual harassment and violence.
Later it became known that the Canadian Hockey League and the Canadian Hockey Federation reached a settlement agreement with her.
Hockey Canada has informed me that the investigation into an alleged sexual assault in 2018 involving Canadian junior national team players has been completed. The federation said a judicial panel made up of two former judges and a lawyer will now decide what sanctions, if any, will be imposed.
Hockey Canada says all information related to the investigator`s report and the commission`s decisions on possible sanctions will remain confidential for now. The federation says it does not want to jeopardize the ongoing investigation by London police, wrote journalist Rick Westhead.
