Sport tipster Wilander on Paolini: Maybe she`ll win a couple of Grand Slams before she`s done. Maybe we haven`t seen her best tennis yet
Mats Wilander commented on Jasmine Paolini`s results from football picks . The Italian defeated Mirra Andreeva in the semifinals of Roland Garros with a score of 6:3, 6:1.
The 15th seed will play Iga Swiatek for the title.
She ruined Andreeva`s game. At the end she played wonderfully, as if she wasn`t nervous at all.
I sympathize with Andreeva - she tried her best, but to no avail. Her opponent was simply too good in the end.
The execution was perfect. And the forehand is simply brilliant. From the left, Paolini hits the ball rising and very flat. So she has two very different shots: a forehand with strong topspin and a flat backhand. This is very difficult to deal with.
[In the match against Szwiatek] Paolini will understand in 5-10 minutes what she needs to do. From this point of view, she will have to play even more aggressively than in the semifinals. More aggressive than ever in my life. It`s a very difficult situation when you win points without a strong serve and play in your first Grand Slam final.
Who knows, maybe she`ll win a couple of Slams before she`s done. Maybe we haven`t seen Paolini`s best tennis yet.
