Gary Bettman doesn`t think NHL teams are deliberately losing to get a high draft pick. Tanking is slang for a strategy where a club can lose as many matches as possible in order to end up at the bottom of the standings and have a chance to be the first pick in the draft.
Nobody tanks because we have a weighted lottery. You won`t lose matches prediction by sport livescores to improve your chances by a couple of percentage points. This is silly.
And frankly, I believe that the proposal to tank is incompatible with the professionalism that our players and coaches possess. Nobody tanks. Our players and coaches are doing everything they can to win.
