Florida hit 58 shots on target against Ottawa to break the club record.
The Panthers defeated the Senators 5-3 in an NHL regular season game. The southerners managed to transfer the opponent with a score of 58:26 (26:4-in the first period).
This is a new club record for shots on target in a single match. Previously, Florida managed to hit 55 shots 4 times.
Canadian club goalkeeper Anton Forsberg parried 53 shots out of 58.
Note that the league records for shots on target per match by hockey picks belong to Boston. In March 1991, the Bruins landed 73 shots on Quebec goal (3:3), a record for an overtime match.
For non-overtime games, the December 1970 Buffalo 72 shots (8:2) remain the best.
